Defensive Custom Tactics: Set your defensive style to Pressure On Heavy Touch. While most stick to balanced, this tweak ensures your players apply pressure at just the right moments, giving you that crucial edge on the field.

Keep the defensive width tight at 32, especially if you prefer compact defense. This way, you’ll have more control in the center, making it tougher for opponents to break through.

Depth is the key, and I found my sweet spot at 56. This depth level provides the right balance for me, keeping it simple yet effective. Go with balance for buildup play and direct passing for chance creation.

Offensive Custom Tactics: Set your offensive width to 52. This ensures all your players stay in sync, creating a cohesive attacking unit. Players in the box to 7 bars. This offensive tweak ensures more players in prime positions, giving you ample passing options and creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities.

Stick with 2 bars for both corner kicks and free kicks. This strategy minimizes the risk of counter attacks while still providing opportunities to score.

Instructions

Let’s fine-tune those player instructions for optimal performance. Remember, this isn’t the full lineup I use. Some other players are in some positions.

Wingers: It’s about versatility. Instruct them to come back on defense, cut inside, and Get into the Box for crosses. Skip 'getting behind' to preserve your buildup play. This way, they’ll contribute defensively, make strategic runs, and be poised for scoring opportunities. This clip demonstrates how your wingers can be the catalysts for turning buildup play into goals.

Central Forward: Leave everything on default. However, if you can afford a player with exceptional all-around stats and a 5 star weak foot, it’s a game-changer. Your more defensive central midfielder should stay back while attacking and cover center. This ensures a solid defensive presence in the middle.

Defensive Midfielder: Set key instructions to cut passing lanes, stay back while attacking, and cover center. Prioritize a player with good pace, passing, and defensive stats. This combo ensures a robust shield in the center, disrupting opponent plays while contributing to the buildup.

Your other Central Midfielder is the dynamic playmaker. Set instructions to Get into the Box for crosses and cover center. He will create miracles, making impactful runs into the box and covering the center when needed.

Full-Backs: keep it simple yet effective. Leave them on stay back while attacking. This maintains defensive stability while still allowing them to contribute to the attack. Both Center-Backs on default settings.

Goalkeeper: set 'come for crosses' and 'up for the sweeper-keeper' role. This ensures a proactive approach in dealing with crosses and adds an extra layer of support when needed.
