NEWS DETAIL
Every year you hear offensive scheme, defensive scheme in Madden. But how to make your own scheme? Here, I’ll show you everything you need to know about how to create your own offensive scheme.
Understand Your Play Style
Each scenario has five concepts, and the first concept we’ll discuss is designing a scenario based on your play style. In fact, Madden 24 has only three play styles: Run Heavy, Pass Heavy and Balanced. But for this guide, I’m going to choose a Balanced offense.
Let’s discuss the second concept. When you start a plan, you want to lay the groundwork. This means that you will really only choose 2 or 3 formations to choose the match for the basis of your plan. And you want those formations to suit your style of play.
So for my Balanced scenario, I’m going to use tight slots halfback weak and bunch offset in Madden. Lots of tight formations and bunch formations are probably best, especially in Madden 24.
Just because there are a lot of passing plays and some good running plays that fit into my Balanced plan. Note again that I have only selected two formations. These two formations will be my basic formation, my basic formation to run the game.
Picking Plays
But here’s a hint. When you choose your formation, even if you are a Run Heavy scheme or a Pass Heavy scheme, you need to choose your running attack first, and then your running scheme. If you don’t have this in your run plan, your offense will be very one-dimensional.
Because there is no real outside edge rush in these two formations. I use these Jet plays for my edge rushing plays. Just make sure your running line is center to left and right.
Now we’re going to get into the passing game. Contrary to popular belief, you really don’t need a lot of passing moves in your plan. I just play differently with hot routing and adjustments. Therefore, it is very important to adapt to certain defenses.
Try looking for plays with zigs, slants, corners, posts. These are all routes that can beat an area or a person. But when you’re really into it, zones are more about how you build your offense. Beating people is more about ability, and getting those guys to beat routes at receiver.
Motioning & Play Calling
The third concept I want to discuss is motioning. Now, let’s say we go into the next game and we have the entire same formation. But this time we’ll be operating within a region split. Now mind you, this is a small thing, but could confuse any opponent when you use it.
Now, this time, we’re going to signal the same person over, but we’re not going to run that play. But because we did the entire same withholding in the previous game, the opponent thought we were going to do it again. But little did he know we were just going to run in the zone and you can do that in any type of formation.
This is the core concept of why planning in Madden 24 works so well. It is also the reason you don’t need to put more MUT 24 Coins in the formation. Because you can run a lot of different plays just by listening, doing different moves and making the right adjustments.
Blocking Scheme
I want to review the blocking scheme. We often meet people who are a glitch blitz and you struggle with it. So I’m going to cover the basics of how you can now block baffling blitzes in a blocking scheme.
The first method is to block the running back and slide the offensive line to the opposite side of the running back. Then identify the rushers on the same side as the running back. This is one of the most common ways to stop a blitz, and it works really well.
We can also add a tight end to our blocking scheme. You just block him and the same rules apply. You’re going to slide the offensive line across from the running back and identify the rushers on the same side as the running back.
Now if you want eight people to block. We’re going to block the running back and tight end and slide the offensive line across from the running back. We’re going to identify the microphone, now we’re going to place a receiver as a blocker.
Now, on your way, you’ll head to one receiver. You probably want a slot receiver who you’ll see help block when he’s between the lines. Right now we have eight people, including receiver blocking, so we have eight people blocking. These are rules for how much you want to block. It also depends on the upcoming blitz.
Adjustments And More Play Calling
Now, the last concept I want to talk about is when to call certain plays and analyze the opponent’s defense to see what his tendencies are.
I will choose four verticals from tight slots with weak HB, which is one of the basic plays of my plan. Then I’m going to cover two people. Now, the reason I like this vertical against cover duo is because of the seam routing of X. When there is no one in the middle of the field, this seam alignment converts to a post.
The user may protect this route. Because we’ve gone this route before, and the user is likely to be safe in the two-man cover, which will open up everything below the slope.
Outro
Therefore, you can consider this type of concept in your planning. Use certain routes as bait to open other routes. This is something you need to use in your passing scheme.
That concludes my detailed distribution guide to offensive scheme in Madden 24. Hope it helps you effectively explore the secrets behind tactical commands, formation adjustments and player positioning in Madden 24 to overwhelm any opponent.
